Here at Pink Green, we have been working closely with our suppliers to find the most sustainable options to help reduce our environmental impact. One recent change we have made is using the paper stock ‘Extract’ by GF smith for our printed documents.
GF Smith have teamed up with the paper manufacturer, James Cropper and are using ‘CupCycling’ technology to create this new innovative paper. This involves taking 90% of the waste from used coffee cups and converting it back into FSC certified paper fibre. Every sheet of Extract 380gsm paper contains at least 5 upcycled coffee cups – the more extract we use the fewer cups go to landfill or incineration.
‘The CupCycling solution has required a unique collaboration between consumer, recycler and papermaker’ GF Smith.
This isn’t the only paper change we have made in our studio – we have also switched to using ‘Who Gives a Crap’ toilet paper. Which is made from forest friendly bamboo fibres, with no dye, Ink or scents and is 100% biodegradable.
With ever-evolving technology, we will continue to look for alternative options to improve our environmental impact.
